FIELD TELEPHONE: The Opening Act is a site-specific, interactive performance created for Ashé Power House and commissioned by Southern Rep Theater in conjunction with BOUDIN: The New Orleans Music Project, April 18–May 17, 2015. Centering around a projected music video performance, The Opening Act is an immersive, participatory experience that invites audience collaboration.

A Fight is Never Over.  A new blues-rap written and performed by K.G. and Kareem Henry for BUREAU of CHANGE, A Fight is Never Over evoke the importance of New Orleans music to civil rights history and the power of song to unite people as fights for livelihood, security, freedom and peace continue today.

Field Telephone: Annexations

An anachronistic archive of New Orleans street activity. A 1960s telephone booth by Bell System left on a 9th Ward street corner tagged with graffiti, stickers and other material culture by passers-by from March 2014 to March 2015.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

New Orleans Bandstand

An impromptu participatory bandstand. Audience take the stage and watch their sounds generate a video performance algorithmically designed by lissajous curves that respond to sound frequencies.
