SOCIAL SERVICES
The BUREAU of CHANGE Social Services division engages in interventions where individual voices and injuries have been neglected.

GESTURES OF CARE aim to support and publicize the conditions of citizens whose role in life serves one of BUREAU of CHANGES focus areas – education, human resources, livelihoods, main street, security, sustainability and the colors of love. Past gestures include Taking Care of Trees, Taking Care of Education, and Restitution to Students.

COUNCILS OF EVERYDAY PEOPLE gather citizens interested in speaking to their views and the personal impact of issues and policies which are typically abstracted and de-personalized. The BUREAU’s first council, Women’s Work discusses experiences and observations of women in the workforce. An ongoing council, HERE/HOME explores New Orleans’ intense civic identity developed through its distinct immigration history, ethnic melding and divergence, and community values of cultural preservation.
